The Misericordia University women's swimming team dropped a 117-87 decision to Messiah College on Friday evening at the Anderson Aquatic Center.
 
The Cougars won four of 11 events on the evening in the loss. Dani Blass earned a narrow victory in the 200 Freestyle (2:03.34) while Brittany Luzik pulled away for a commanding with in the 100 Butterfly (1:00.88). Bree Grzech won the 100 Backstroke in a time of 1:02.47, and Dana Hallam came back in the final 50 yards to earn victory in the 500 Freestyle.
 
Prior to the meet, the Cougars honored lone senior Molly Berky for her accomplishments in her four years with the squad.
 
With the conclusion of their regular season, MU will now look toward the 2013 MAC Championships, which will take place from February 8-10 at the Wyoming Valley CYC in Wilkes-Barre.
