The Misericordia University women's swim team won 11 of 14 events en route to a commanding 167-83 victory over Lebanon Valley on Thursday at the Anderson Center.

Six Cougar swimmers were a part of multiple victories, either as individuals or as part of a relay team.

Brittany Luzik led the way with four victories after placing first in the 50 freestyle (26:05) and 100 butterfly (1:01.39). She also was part of winning relay teams in the 200 medley and the 200 freestyle.

Dani Blass was part of that 200 medley relay team that won in 1:59.64, as well as the 200 freestyle winners (1:48.17). She also took first in the 100 breaststroke (1:11.85) to give her a hand in three Cougar victories.

Dana Hallam won the 1000 freestyle in 11:45.65 and the 500 freestyle, while being a part of the 200 freestyle relay team with Luzik, Blass and Aryn Zimmerman. 

Zimmerman also won the 100 freestyle in 59.0 seconds.

Taylor Grenier swam the lead leg for the first-place 200 medley relay team of herself, Luzik, Blass and Beth Karmondy while also winning the 100 backstroke in 1:06.80.

Karmondy also took first in the 200 breastroke. Allison Thomas finished second in the event, along with third in the 100 breaststroke.

Amanda Stammherr also had a successful day for MU, finishing second in the 100 breast and third in the 100 free.

Leah Davis won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:25.24. She also swam the lead leg for the 200 medley relay team that finished second (2:05.44, Thomas, Jacqueline Cormier, Megan DiPalo).

Misericordia, 6-3, is back in action Saturday against Albright.
