The Misericordia University softball season came to an end with a tough 4-1 loss at Bethany at the ECAC South championships, Sunday.
Kristi Seiler led the Cougars with two hits while
Melanie Quintanilla had a double and
Megan Hardy drove in a run.
Bailee Schies struck out six and scattered hits while absorbing the loss.
Bethany took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but the Cougars tied it in the third.
With two outs, Quintanilla doubled to left center field.Â
Sam Hare singled up the middle and Seiler was hit by a pitch to load the bases. Hardy followed with an RBI-single to right field to tie the score.
The Bison went ahead for good with a pair of homers in the bottom of the fifth.
Misericordia finished 28-17.
