The Misericordia field hockey team rallied from a first-half deficit, but came up just short in a 2-1 loss to Montclair, Saturday afternoon at rain-soaked McGeehan Field.
Â
Kailey Vogl scored MU's lone goal off an assist from
Lindsay Hischak.
Â
Montclair took a 2-0 lead with a pair of goals in the first 20 minutes.
Â
Misericordia got on the board when Hischak came down the right side and crossed the ball to a wide open Vogl to pull the Cougars within one midway through the second half.
Â
Angela Pasquini made six saves in goal for the Cougars and came off her line to clear several Montclair threats.
Â
The Cougars fell to 2-2 on the season and will travel to play Scranton, Wednesday at 7:00.Â
