The Misericordia University field hockey season came to an end with a heartbreaking 3-2, double-overtime loss at Marywood, Saturday.
Kailey Vogl and Coleby Eldridge had goals for the Cougars.
After Marywood took a 1-0 lead late in the first half, Vogl tied it less than three minutes later when she scored off a rebound of her own shot.
Marywood went back in front with less than four minutes remaining in the first half.
Eldridge tied it early in the second half with an assist from
Melanie Fry and the score stood until there was just 3:21 remaining in the second extra session.
Katelyn Campbell made nine saves in goal for the Cougars who finished 5-13.
