The Misericordia softball team swept SUNY-Cobleskill , 3-2, 14-0, Tuesday afternoon at Anderson Field.

Bailee Schies picked up the win in relief for MU, going 2.2 innings while allowing one hit, walking two and striking out two.
Jordan Hoffman started the first game for the Cougars, going 4.1 innings while allowing four hits, two runs (neither were earned), three walks and four strikeouts.
Misericordia struck in the first inning,
Abby Marzzacco walked, advanced to second on a
Lori Brennan groundout and then got to third on a
Melissa Parker single before scoring on a wild pitch.
SUNY-Cobleskill scored two runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead, but MU would respond in the bottom of the inning.
Brennan reached on a fielder's choice, and then
Alexa Doggett came in to pinch-run for her.
Parker reached on an error, and then
Caitlin Kennedy ripped a double, scoring Doggett to tie it up at 2-2.
In the bottom of the sixth,
Diana Kestenbaum singled and then got all the way to third on a wild pitch.
Two batters later
Melanie Quintanilla drove her in to give MU a 3-2 lead.
In the top of the seventh, Schies put away the first two batters before allowing a triple to right field, but she got the final batter to ground out to second base.
Marzzacco went 2-3 with a run scored and a walk and Kennedy went 1-3 with an RBI.
Maddie Stebich took the mound for the Cougars in the second game, she went five innings while allowing three hits, two walks and four strikeouts.
Misericordia scored in the first inning again, this time by
Whitney Ellenberg, who walked with the bases loaded.
In the second, Kestenbaum scored from third with the bases load on a wild pitch, Brennan scored the other two runners with a double and then Kennedy traded places with her with a double off the left field fence, which left the score at 5-0.
The Cougars struck again in the third, first
Cailey Ware singled up the middle and got to second on a bunt by Kestenbaum.
Two batters later Quintanilla doubled to score ware, and then Marzzacco singled which got Quintanilla to third before Brennan singled which got Quintanilla home.
Parker got hit by a pitch to load the bases and then Kennedy singled to right to score Marzzacco.
In the fourth inning,
Mackenzie Yurko scored Ware on a sac fly and then Quintanilla hit a single to score Kestenbaum.
Marzzacco walked and Brennan singled to load the bases, and then Parker hit a bomb to left center, scoring the last four runs for Misericordia.
Six different players drove in a run for the cougars.
Brennan was 4-4 with three RBI and three runs scored while Kennedy went 3-3Â with two RBI.
MU returns to action at Eastern, Thursday at 3:00.
