MU Drops MAC Freedom Opener

The Misericordia University field hockey team opened MAC Freedom play with a 3-1 loss at FDU-Florham, Saturday.

Suzhaunna Lerch scored MU's lone goal on a corner with no time remaining with an assist from Colby Eldridge.

Jenn Gazdick had 11 saves in goal for the Cougars.

The Devils took a 1-0 midway through the first half and made it 2-0 with less than five minutes remaining before intermission.

FDU-Florham made it 3-0 midway through the second half.
