Trailing 35-33, the Cougars took over at their own 42 yard line with 6:55 to play after a 12-yard kickoff return by Henry Morris.

Barry hit Josh Cady for 11 yards into FDU-Florham territory and Rainey scampered for 10 yards for a big third-down conversion to the Devils' 26.

Mike Niggli had a five-yard reception on first down, but the drive stalled and Davis put MU in front with a 39-yard yard field goal, his record-setting fifth of the season.

Williams had five receptions for 19 yards on MU's opening possession, but the drive stalled at the FDU 30 yard line and the Cougars turned the ball over on downs.  Williams set school single season records with 66 receptions and 830 yards.

Noah Bard's interception ended FDU's first possession and the team's played to a 0-0 deadlock after one quarter.

The Cougars put together a 12-play drive that consumed more than six minutes, but they turned it over on downs at the FDU 29.

Malik Pressley hauled a 64-yard pass for the second of his five touchdowns on the day and the two-point conversion gave the Devils a 14-0 lead.

Nick Yeager returned the kickoff 23 yards and moved to near midfield in four plays before Barry hit Williams for a 45-yard touchdown with 3:59 left in the first half.

FDU marched 70 yards in just 2:06 to take a 21-7 lead, but the Cougars answered with a quick score of their own.

Williams returned the kickoff 51 yards and a facemask moved the ball to the FDU 24 yard line.  Williams had a 12-yard reception on third down to set up first and goal and Barry went in from two yards out on the last play of the half.

Struble's interception on the first series of the second half gave the Cougars the ball deep in FDU territory.  After a personal foul penalty on the Devils, Barry connected with a Williams on a 14-yard strike, but the PAT was wide right and the Cougars trailed 21-20.

After the teams traded punts, the Devils forced a fumble to take over deep in Misericordia territory midway through the third quarter.

Yeager stuffed the threat with a tackle for loss on a fourth and two and Rainey gave the Cougars their first lead with a 94-yard TD run on the first play on the ensuing drive.  The two-point conversion failed and the Cougars led 26-21.
