The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped its second MAC match with a 3-1 (25-12, 25-11, 23-25, 25-10) loss to Stevenson University in the Anderson Center, Thursday night.
Ryan Miller led the Cougars with 13 kills and Caleb Bauder added five kills.
Bailey Brugler had 24 assists and three aces to lead the Cougars.
The first two sets were dominated by Stevenson, pulling away early in both sets to jump out to a two-set lead.
In the third set, three straight aces from Brugler gave the Cougars an early 4-3 advantage. After back-to-back kills by Matt Lavin and Miller got the Cougars to within one at 20-19, the Cougars tied the set at 20 following a block from Miller.
With the scored tied at 23, the Cougars capitalized off two Stevenson attack errors to win the third set.
In the fourth, Stevenson jumped out to a 13-2 lead and never looked back as they wrapped up the match.
The Cougars (4-5, 0-2) will face Bard and Elmira at Elmira in a tri-match, Sunday at 1:30.
