Rachel Carmody led three players in double figures as the Misericordia University women's basketball team improved to 18-2 with a 78-63 win at Delaware Valley, Wednesday.
Japriya Carroll had 12 points and
Leanne Forsyth added 10 points and five assists.
Paige Wampole had nine points and 10 rebounds.
Carmody shot 7-9 from the floor and grabbed eight rebounds.
The Cougars did most of their offensive damage from close-range as they shot 49.3% from the field and score 50 points in the paint.
Tessa Zamolyi scored on the game's opening possession, but the Aggies answered with an 11-1 run to take an 11-3 lead.
MU chipped away and finally pulled even, 16-16, on
Kalynn Sefcik's three-pointer with 3:17 to play in the first period.
Trailing 21-18, the Cougars got two layups from Wampole in final 30 seconds of the first quarter to take a 22-21 lead.
The Cougars used a 13-3 run in the middle of the second quarter to pull away and outscored the Aggies 18-3 over the final 8:40 of the first half to take a 42-24 lead.
Misericordia will visit Manhattanville, Saturday.
