The Misericordia University field hockey team fell to Eastern, 3-2, Wednesday night.
The Cougars jumped out to an early lead, but Eastern was able to capitalize on a late opportunity to win the game.
Kyleigh Knell and Allie Bianco scored for MU while Mikayla Cavenas added an assist.
Knell hustled 30 yards down field and ripped a shot inside the right post just two minutes into the game to put the Cougars up early 1-0.
After Eastern scored twice early in the third quarter to take a 2-1 lead, Bianco blasted a shot into the back of the cage just four minutes into the fourth quarter to tie the game 2-2.
Knell had another good look in the fourth quarter going down the middle of the field but was tracked down by an Eagles' defender before she could get a shot off.
