The Misericordia University swim team recently provided swim lessons to individuals with autism through a partnership with S.A.F.E. and the Autism Center at Misericordia University.

The program was featured in the December 8 edition of the Citizens Voice:
 
Terri Buelholl, M.S. OTR/L trained members of the Misericordia swim team on how to provide swim lessons to individuals with autism.
 
The lessons were delivered in a 1:1 setting in 30-minute sessions had included 29 students over two five-week sessions.
 
In addition, members of the Autism Awareness Club organized a rec swim program featuring games and activities that reinforce the skills learned in the 1:1 lessons.
