The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at St. Joe's (Long Island), Wednesday.
Caleb Bauder led the Cougars with six kills and four digs and
Ryan Miller added five kills and five digs.
Billy Murphy added four kills and
Jordan Spidle had 11 assists.
After dropping the first set, 25-14, the Cougars battled to a 25-23 loss in the second before dropping the finale, 25-9.
Down 15-12 in the second set, the Cougars scored four of the next five points to pull even, 16-16.
St. Joe's went up 24-20, but the Cougars answered with three straight points, including kills by Murphy and Lavin, to get within 24-23.
The Eagles closed out the set with a kill on the next point.
Misericordia, 7-5, will play a tri-match with Widener at Messiah, Saturday.
