The Misericordia University field hockey team won its second game of the season with a 5-0 win over Allegheny College, Saturday afternoon at McGeehan Field.

Tori Carsley scored twice for the Cougars and Madisyn Granoski added a goal and an assist.

Kyleigh Knell and Anna Effinger added goals as the Cougars improved to 2-0.

Carsley scored two goals in the opening minutes of the second quarter to give the Cougars the lead and Knell added a goal later in the period to push the lead to 3-0.

Granoski scored late in the third quarter and Effinger tallied the final goal of the day in the fourth quarter

Brynn Lansenderfer, Elizabeth Fry, Mikayla Cavenas and Maddy Roerig all added assists.

Katelyn Campbell made one save to improve to 2-0 on the year.

The Cougars will travel to Alvernia, Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
