The Misericordia University men's volleyball team lost a tough 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-22) decision at Ramapo, Thursday.
Ryan Miller led the Cougars with 10 kills, two aces and seven digs while
Austin Cervasio added seven kills.
Billy Murphy had six kills and
Dylan Sellitti had 31 assists.
Conner Westerfield had 14 digs and
Brian Ross added 10 digs.
Five different players had kills during a 6-2 spurt that got MU within 20-15 in the first set, but Ramapo closed four of the final six points to win, 25-19.
Down 21-19, Cervasio had a kill coming out of a timeout and an ace and a kill by Miller gave the Cougars a 22-21 lead.
Ramapo tied it, but the Cougars went back in front, 23-22, on an attack error before the Roadrunners scored three straight to win, 25-23.
Sellitti and Miller had kills to fuel a 5-2 spurt to give the Cougars a 16-12 in the third set.
Kills by Cervasio and Miller stretched the lead to 20-16, but Ramapo closed the set on a 7-1 win to end the match.
MU will travel to John Jay for a tri-match with Nichols, Saturday.
