The Misericordia University softball team swept a doubleheader at Arcadia by identical 4-1 scores, Thursday.
In the opener, Maddie Holub had a homer and a triple and drove in three runs and Amanda Butera added three hits.
Kiersten Pflueger had two hits to make a winner of Miranda Bohn, who struck out eight and allowed just four hits over seven wins.
The Cougars put together a two-out rally in the top of the second to take a 2-0 lead.
Brooke Moyle walked and scored on Holub's triple to center field.
Butera followed with a single through the right side to make it 2-0.
The Cougars added two more runs in the sixth when Antonia Pacillo drew a lead-off walk and came around to score on Holub's homer to right field.
In the nightcap, Ciara DeLong had three hits, including a pair of doubles, and drove in two runs.
Pflueger had two hits, including a solo homer.
Moyle struck out 11 and allowed just three hits to earn the complete-game win.
Holub reached on an error to open the third inning and stole second before being erased when Butera reached on a fielder's choice.
DeLong followed with a double to right center to give the Cougars a 1-0 lead.
Pflueger homered to lead off the fourth to make it 2-0.
Two outs later, Moyle reached via error and moved to second on Holub's single through the right side.
Butera singled up the middle to give the Cougars a 3-0 lead.
DeLong doubled down the left field line to make it 4-0.
The Cougars improved to 10-2.
