Anna Effinger had a goal and an assist as the Misericordia University field hockey team defeated Immaculata, 2-0, Monday night.
Mikayla Cavenas added a goal as the Cougars won their seventh straight game to improve to 8-1.
Effinger gave the Cougars an early lead with an assist from
Kristen McCloskey just 2:43 into the game.
Cavenas added an insurance goal with an assist from Effinger midway through the fourth quarter.
The Cougars compiled 20 shots, including 17 on goal, while the defense held Immaculata without a shot.
MU will travel to Gwynedd Mercy, Wednesday.
