The Misericordia University women's basketball team lost its second game of the season, 64-47, Saturday at Arcadia.

Meaghan McCaffrey led the Cougars with 14 points and seven rebounds and
Gianna Delfino had 12 points on 6-10 shooting and six rebounds.

Alyssa Bondi chipped in seven points and five rebounds and
Melina Santacroce added five rebounds.

Delfino opened the scoring with a mid-range jump shot with 7:14 remaining in the first quarter and the Cougars went on to a 13-10 lead after one period.

The Knights controlled the second quarter, winning the period 19-7, to take a halftime lead of 29-20. Â Arcadia went ahead 17-15 with 5:44 remaining in the first half and never surrendered the lead the rest of way.

Santacroce's free throw capped a 7-0 MU run early in the fourth quarter to get within 45-39 with 7:47 to play, but the Cougars never got any closer.

Arcadia out-rebounded the Cougars 51-35 and held MIsericordia to 1-15 shooting from three-point range.

The Cougars (0-2) are back in action when the host Lycoming, Thursday at 7:00.
