John Davis' first game at the helm for the Cougars.

Gawlik had two rushing touchdowns and added another score through the air.

The Cougars opened the scoring with a safety near the end of the first quarter and added a field goal by
Nicholas Neidlinger at the end of the first half.

Leading 2-0 early in the second quarter, the Cougars took over deep in Keystone territory after
Carlos Artson returned a punt 22 yards to the Giants 18-yard line.

Gawlik carried three times and went in from five yards out and added a two-point conversion for a 10-0 lead with 11:22 to play in the first half.

Keystone answered with a touchdown on its next possession and the Cougars responded with a long scoring drive.

Jadyn Childs returned the kickoff to the MU 39-yard line and Gawlik gained 23 yards on three carries.

Gawlik and
David Cromwell combined for 20 more yards on the ground, but the drive stalled at the Keystone 10-yard line and Neidlinger converted for a 17-yard field goal for a 13-7 lead.

MU took over deep in Keystone territory following a punt late in the third quarter.

Gawlik rushed for eight yards on first down and
Mitchell Micale hit
Dwayne Sharpe for a short gain and a first down at the 23-yard line.

Gawlik picked up 20 yards on two carries and scored on another five yard run for a 20-7 lead with 1:33 to play in the third quarter.

Cromwell gained 22 yards on four carries on MU's first possession of the fourth quarter before Micale connected with Gawlik on a 36-yard scoring strike.

Micale added the two-point conversion to give the Cougars a 28-7 lead with 9:17 to go.

Tavion Rogers led the Cougars with nine tackles while
Zachary Orzell added seven stops.Â
Chuck Uwalor had two sacks.

Misericordia will host Wilkes in their MAC opener, Saturday.
