The Misericordia University women's soccer team remained unbeaten with a 7-1 win at Cortland, Wednesday.

Kaylee Sturans scored twice and five other players added goals as the Cougars improved to 5-0.

Kate Field added a goal and an assist while
Emma Sweitzer, Michael Fasolino,
Maegan Allspach and
Colleen Kinsella all added goals.

The Cougars held a 32-10 edge in shots, including a 20-6 edge in shots on goal.

Sweitzer gave the Cougars the lead with a shot off the right post just 4:05 into the match.

Fasolino converted a PK at 20:43 and Sturans scored twice in a two-minute span for a 4-0 lead at 36:35.

Field's shot from 25 yards out deflected off a Cortland defender to give MU a 5-0 lead just 90 seconds into the second half.

Allspach followed with a shot that deflected off the crossbar less than a minute later to make it 6-0.

After Cortland got on the board at 75:11, Kinsella closed the scoring with a one-touch goal in the 79
th minute.

Alexa Benedetto made four saves in 64 scoreless minutes in goal.
