The Misericordia University men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision at #11 Nazareth, Sunday.

The Cougars fell 27-25, 25-19, 25-16.

Billy Murphy led the Cougars with nine kills and two blocks while
Anthony DePalma had seven kills and
Kyle Ganoe had six.

Austin Cervasio had four blocks and
Gannon DeFrain had 15 assists.

The Cougars took a 7-3 lead on a kill by Ganoe and a block by Cervasio and Murphy.

A kill by Cervasio and two Nazareth errors stretched the MU lead to 9-5.

Nazareth rallied to take a 23-21 lead, but MU came out of a timeout to score three straight points.

Murphy's kill and a block by Cervasio and
James Walsh helped move the Cougars in front, 24-23.
After two straight Nazareth points, Murphy's kill kept MU alive, but Nazareth won the set on two straight errors by the Cougars.

MU fell behind early in the second set, but pulled within 17-14 on
Zane Martin's ace.

The team's traded points the rest of the way and Nazareth won 25-19.

Back-to-back-to-back kills by Ganoe, Murphy and Cervasio gave MU a 5-4 lead in the third set.

Nazareth scored five straight points to ahead for good.

The Cougars will host Stevens in their MAC Freedom opener, Wednesday.
