The third-ranked Misericordia University women's soccer team used another balanced scoring attack in a dominant 9-0 win over Lycoming, Wednesday night at Mangelsdorf Field.

Seven different players scored for MU, including two goals each from Michaela Fasolino and Olivia Maniskas.

Julia Beck, Brenna Field, Kate Field, Emma Sweitzer and Jill Mallon all added goals as the Cougars improved to 11-0-1.

Madi Welliver, Lauren Mondor and Emma Stroud combined for five saves as the Cougars recorded their fifth straight shutout and ninth overall.

The Cougars applied pressure throughout the contest while amassing 35 shots and wasted little time taking control as they scored twice in the first five minutes.

Beck put MU in front when her shot from 30 yards out landed in the box and skipped inside the left post at 2:24.

Sweitzer carried down the left side and found Fasolino in stride in front for a 2-0 lead just over two minutes later.

Fasolino's pass was deflected back to her near the top of the box and she buried a shot into the upper right corner for a 3-0 lead at 27:48.

Brenna Field made it 4-0 when her free kick from 25 yards deflected off a defender's head and inside the left post at 34:48.

Kate Field got in the scoring column early in the second half when Fasolino found her in front from 12 yards out at 51:20.

Kaylee Sturans had the first of her two assists just four minutes later when she played a ball from the right edge of the box to Sweitzer who finished near the left post to make it 6-0 at 55:16.

Mallon took a pass from Sturans and created space at the top of the box before ripping a shot into the lower left corner at 69:07.

Mallon fed Maniskas at the top of the box and she turned and fired a shot into the upper right corner for an 8-0 just two minutes later.

Sabrina Competiello led Maniskas down the left side and she rolled a shot across the frame inside the right post to close out the scoring at 82:46.

The Cougars showed their balance as 15 players took shots, including all 10 starters.

Coach Stauffer's Comments:  "It was good to get a quality match in tonight from our entire squad.  We took care of creating quality chances and were patient in our build.   We got some really good minutes off our bench and we're looking forward to two quality days of training to build on this into Saturday."
