The Misericordia University field hockey team kept its postseason hopes alive with a 2-0 win at King's, Saturday evening.
Lily Metress scored both goals less than two minutes apart in the fourth quarter to break a scoreless tie.
Abigail O'Donnell and
Shannon Murphy added assists.
Metress gave the Cougars the lead at 49:13 and added an insurance goal at 50:57.
Sarah Bogina made eight saves in goal to record the shutout.
Misericordia held a 22-21 edge in shots, including 16-8 on goal, and had a 14-9 advantage in penalty corners.
MU will host Arcadia in their MAC Freedom finale, Wednesday at 7:00.
