The Misericordia University field hockey team ended the regular season with a 2-1 win over Muhlenberg, Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.
Morgan Walsh and
Shannon Murphy scored six minutes apart in the second half to provide the margin of victory.
Sarah Bogina made eight saves in goal.
Locked in scoreless battle for nearly three quarters, the Cougars finally broke through off a penalty corner late in the period.
Radnoff took the insert pass from Emily Ervin and found Walsh in front where she blasted a shot form 10 yards out inside the right post at 40:14.
Bogina made a big save near the right post in the closing minutes of the third quarter and
Morgan Walsh cleared the rebound off the goal line.
Murphy made it 2-0 when she ripped a shot near the right post inside the left side of the cage less than a minute into the fourth period.
Muhlenberg cut the margin in half with less than 10 minutes to play, but the Cougars defense didn't allow a shot the rest of the way.
The Cougars will open the MAC Freedom Championships at FDU-Florham, Monday.
