The top-ranked Misericordia University women's soccer team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament with a 6-0 win over Marywood, Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.

MK Peters all scored for the Cougars.
The Cougars had a 41-0 edge in shots while improving to 19-0-1.
Misericordia had several near-misses in the early going, including Sturans' shot off the left corner of the crossbar at 21:54.
MU's patience paid off when Fasolino played a ball from the right end line to Kinsella whose one-timer inside the right post gave the Cougars a 1-0 at 33:25.
Brenna Field converted a penalty kick five minutes later and the Cougars took a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Sweitzer set a new school single-season record with her 24
th goal on a PK in the opening minute of the second half to make it 3-0.
The Cougars continues to possess and attack and went up 4-0 when Sturans corner was headed by
Ally Waite to
Kate Field at the right post at 53:44.
Sturans made it 5-0 when she one-timed a pass from
Olivia Maniskas inside the right post at 60:56.
Peters closed out the scoring when she headed home a pass from
Haleigh Wintersteen in the 84
th minute.
The Cougars defense was dominant as well as they limited the Pacers to just two corner kicks.
