Billy Murphy and
Austin Cervasio led the Misericordia University men's volleyball team to a hard-fought 3-1 win over Ramapo, Tuesday night on Doc Mould Court.

Murphy had 21 kills and Cervasio had seven blocks as the Cougars improved to 7-7.

Zane martin had 11 kills and three blocks and
Anthony DePalma had seven kills, three aces and three blocks.

Dylan Sellitti had 43 assists and
Kyle Ganoe had four aces.

Conner Westerfield had 15 digs.

The Cougars came from behind to win the opener, 27-25, and won the third set by the same score. MU rallied from an early deficit to win the clincher, 25-19.

Down 23-21 in the first set, Martin and Murphy sandwiched kills around an ace by Ganoe to put MU up, 25-24.

Martin's kill made it 26-25 and the Cougars got the winner on a Ramapo error.

After dropping the second set, the Cougars trailed 16-14 in the third. An ace by Ganoe and two Ramapo errors gave MU a 17-16 lead.

MU led 23-20, but Ramapo rallied for four straight points to take a 24-23 lead.Â

Misericordia eventually won on a kill by Murphy and a Ramapo error.

The Cougars fell behind 7-2 in the finale, but used a 7-0 with two kills each by Martin and Murphy to take a 13-10 lead.

Murphy had two more kills as part of a 4-0 run to make it 20-14.

Murphy added three more kills and Ganoe had an ace as the Cougars closed the match on a 4-1 spurt.
