The Misericordia University field hockey team is picked to finish fifth in the MAC Freedom, according to the 2023 Preseason Coaches' Poll.
 
The Cougars earned 27 points to finish just behind fourth-place FDU-Florham in the poll.
 
DeSales (42), Arcadia (41) and Stevens (40) are the top three teams in the poll.
 
Misericordia lost in overtime at DeSales in the MAC Freedom semifinals a year ago.
 
MU will open the 2023 season at Gwynedd Mercy, September 1.
