The Misericordia University men's track & field team finished eighth at the Utica Winter Opener as they resumed their indoor season, Friday.
 
Stephen Rowley led the Cougars with a second place finish at 5000m (15:20.41) and Matthieu Brunelle was second in the triple jump (12.8m) while James McBride was sixth and John Tanis was eighth.

Trey Rhinehart (2:01.18) was fourth at 800m and Tavian McKenna was seventh.                                                                                               

Brayden Brown was fifth in the shot put (13.24m).
 
Brunelle added a fourth place showing in the long jump (6.39m) and Jacob Hunter was sixth at 60m (7.29).
 
Stephen Gihr was eighth in the weight throw (13.13m).
 
Rhinehart, Nathan Horn, Andrew Layne and Austin Karwacki finished 10^th in the 4x400m (3:53.14).
