The Misericordia University men's swim team opened the second semester with sweep of a quad-meet with Wilkes and St. Mary's (MD) at Marywood, Saturday.
The Cougars defeated Wilkes, 191-56, St. Mary's, 147-106, and Marywood, 189-58.
Frankie Andersen won the 200 fly and 500 free while
Gannon Schwalm (1:53.85) and
Sean Tadiello (1:05.2) won the 200 free and 100 breaststroke, respectively.
Rob Gronwald added a win in the 1000 free and Schwalm, Andersen,
Chase McCray and
Anthony Feudale won the 400 free relay.
Andersen (2:04.39) and Ben Sorrentino finished 1-2 in the 200 fly and Andersen (5:01.49),
Ryan Hauer and Tanner Manzoni went 1-2-3 in the 500 free.
Gronwald's 10:44.92 was an 18-second drop and a lifetime best in the 1000 free where he and Hauer combined to take the top two spots.
Feudale finished second in the 100 free with a lifetime-best time of 52.85.
