The Misericordia University field hockey team dropped a heartbreaking 2-1 decision in overtime at the University of Scranton, Tuesday night.
Ashley Pitz gave the Cougars the lead early in the second quarter and
Sarah Bogina kept the Cougars in the game.
Pitz took a pass from
Ava Cirigliano as the Cougars converted a corner on their only shot of the game.
Scranton tied it less than a minute into the second half and won the game 4:35 into OT.
Bogina made seven saves in goal and Pitz added a defensive save.
Pitz made her defensive save on a corner to keep the game scoreless midway through the first quarter.
