The Misericordia University men's wrestling team finished seventh of 15 teams at Racich Rumble, Saturday at Ursinus.

The Cougars had two runners-up and two third-place finishers tom compile 75.5 points.

Simeon Hunte and Shannon Clark both reached the finals while Michael Williams and Aiden Hidlay both finished third.

After an opening round bye at 197, Hunte picked up a takedown with :05 remaining to beat John Libby of Johns Hopkins, 8-5.

He scored a takedown with :06 to go in a 4-1 win over Anthony Evangelista of Camden CC in the quarterfinals.

Hunte left a little more time spare in his 7-3 win over Joe Bernard of WPI as he clinched the win with a takedown with :34 to go.

He lost by technical fall to Will Davis of Elizabethtown in the finals.

Clark had four convincing wins to reach the finals at 285. He picked up for near-fall points in the third period to clinch his 15-3 win over Ksawery Niewadomy of E-Town in the opening round and used two takedowns to down Jake Pomykata of Johns Hopkins, 8-1, in the second round.

He used a reversal and two takedowns to key a big third period to beat Tade Omisore of W & L, 12-3, in the quarterfinals.

Clark pinned Micah Martinez of Messiah in the first period in the semis, but fell to Carter Stack of W & L in the finals.

Hidlay won three straight matches to reach the semifinals at 285.  He picked up an escape midway through the third period to tie his opening round match against Mohamed Abdelatty of Ursinus, 1-1.  He earned a takedown with :35 to go and allowed a late escape to win, 4-2.

He recorded five takedowns to tech fall Andrew Geisenheimer of Camden CC, 18-5.

Hidlay's first-period takedown stood up in a 3-0 win over Ben Rosa of Stevens Tech in the quarterfinals before falling to Stack in the semis.

He came-from-behind to pin Martinez in wild bout in the consolation final.

Williams received an opening round bye and won three straight bouts to reached the semis at 149. 

He recorded three takedowns in an 11-2 win over Jacob Cunningham of Messiah and used an escape and takedown in the third period to beat Vincenzo Napolitana of NYU, 4-3.

Williams notched four takedowns on the way to a 14-4 win over Justin Ciliotta of Stevens Tech in the quarterfinals.

He gave up a third-period takedown in a 4-2 loss to Levi Snyder of Messiah in the semis.

He built a 6-0 win before winning via DQ in the consolation final.
