th minute to lift the sixth-ranked Misericordia University women's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Stevens in the MAC Freedom championship match, Saturday evening at Mangelsdorf Field.

The Cougars improved to 17-1-2 and clinched their fourth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth.
Locked in a defensive battle that appeared destined for overtime,
Madison Brdaric carried the ball down the right side and threaded a pass through the defense ton Maniskas in the middle of the box where she took a touch and fired a shot inside the left post at 88:11.
Lauren Mondor made four saves in goal to give MU its second 1-0 win over Stevens in the last week.
With both teams battling for possession early, Stevens finally took the first shot of the game in 19

Emma Sweitzer gave MU the best chance of the first half. Sweitzer settled a loose ball and ripped a left-footed shot from distance that was wide of the right post.
The Cougars picked up the offensive pressure in the second half and had two re-starts that ended with shots that were just off the mark.
Field served a ball over the top of the defense and Wintersteen's header from six yards out was inches wide of the right post in 52
nd minute.
Stevens two best chances of the second half both caromed off the crossbar.
