The Misericordia University swim team captured the 200 free relay to clinch a thrilling 132-130 win over Scranton, Saturday in the Anderson Center.
Trailing 124-121 heading the final event, the team of Maddie Cunningham,
Cali White,
Tamsin Formon and
Tori Ellex recorded a three-second win (1:41.55).
White, Formon and
Lindsey Rice were all double-winners for the Cougars.
White set a new pool record to win the 200 free (1:59.40) and added a win in the 100 free (54.64).
Formon won the 500 free (5:27.53) and 1000 free (11:13.72) while Rice won the 100 breast (1:10.57) and 200 breast (2:35.48).
Tori Ellex added a win in the 50 free (24.94).
Kaylee DePietro, Rice, Ellex and White opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay (4:10.35)
The Cougars improved to 3-0 with their second win over Scranton in the last three seasons.
