MU Softball Drops Two at Shenandoah

The Misericordia University softball team dropped a doubleheader at Shenandoah to open the season, Monday.
 
The Cougars lost 2-1 in the opener and fell 10-2 in five innings in the nightcap.
 
Nikki Elliott had two hits and drove in MU's lone run in the opener.
 
Bridget Doherty walked to open the game and went to third on an error before coming home on Elliott's ground out.
 
Shenandoah scored two-out runs in the fifth and sixth innings to pull out the win.
 
Doherty had two hits, including a triple, in the nightcap.
