The Misericordia University Rocket League team defeated Post University, 3-1, in their season opener Thursday night.
 
The Cougars avenged a preseason loss to the Eagles.
 
After Chris Dindino and Kareem Jefferson led the Cougars to a 3-1 win in the opener, Post answered with a 3-1 win in game two.
 
Brady Carmody scored hat tricks in of the last two games to clinch the win with 3-1, 4-2 victories.
 
Carmody led the Cougars with six goals, four assists and two saves.  Dindino had four goals, two assists and 10 saves and Jefferson had a goal and four saves.
