The Misericordia University women's wrestling team lost at Delaware Valley, 25-20, Friday night.

The Cougars pins from Ahlexa Montalvo, Elizabeth Adebola, Sarah Lynn as they won three of the five contested bouts.

Maya Landefeld won by forfeit at 207.

Montalvo used a deep single-leg to secure a takedown and take a 4-1 lead midway through the first period at 131.  She added an ankle-pick takedown with a minute left in the first period to make it 6-1.

She added another takedown and two sets of back points to win by tech. superiority, 12-1, at 2:25.

At 160, Adebola countered a deep shot and got a takedown 1:15 into the first period.  She fought another deep takedown attempt and used an underhook for a takedown and back points before securing the fall at 2:03.

Lynn used a front headlock to take a quick lead at 180 and used half-nelson to notch the fall in just :39.
