Madison Hedglin set a school and course record to lead the Misericordia University women's cross country team to the team title at the Houghton (NY) Highlander Invitational, Saturday.
Hedglin ran 21:14 to top the 188-runner field and claim her second win of the season.
She led throughout the race and broke Clare Schoen's school record by one second while shaving 10 seconds off the Houghton course record.
Madison Kammer was fifth and
Grace Gallagher was 11th for the Cougars.
Cassandra Burt and
Grace Morningstar rounded out MU's top five in 17
th and 25
th place, respectively.
The Cougars had 59 points to easily out-distance runner-up RIT's 93.
