The Misericordia University men's swim team cruised to a 125-80 win over Messiah, Friday evening in the Anderson Center.

The Cougars opened and closed the meet with wins in both relays.

Alex Flesta, Sean Tadiello, Aidan Lippert, Chase McCray (1:45.11) took the 200 medley relay and Michael Cooper, Jacob Rose, Gannon Schwalm and Max Dung (3:23.92) capped the night with a win in the 400 free relay.

Dung won the 500 free and Rose (55.30) and Michael Saladino went 1-2 in the 100 fly.

Schwalm (1:50.4) had the second-fastest time in the MAC to win the 200 free while Jackson Massey was second.

Cooper (23.44) and McCray took the top two spots in the 50 free and McCray (52.11) added a win in the 100 free.

Jack Sedito, Ryan Hauer, Dannik Khais and Lippert were second in the 400 free relay.

Coach Taylor's Thoughts:

"We learned a lot about this team's ability to compete last weekend.  This weekend, we saw how versatile they are.  Lots of great swims happening across the board, and this is shaping up to be a great season for the Cougars.  We have big goals for the season and are looking forward to what comes down the pipeline!"
