Jenna Schuda and Brenna Field have been named the Misericordia University Wendy's Female Athletes of the Month for September while Jacob Hunter and Trey Rhinehart shared the men's honor.
 
A senior setter, Schuda led the volleyball team to a 10-5 record during the month.  She leads the MAC Freedom with 7.9 assists and .69 aces per set.
 
She became Misericordia's career assists leader and currently 3,227 assists.
 
Field, a senior back, led the nationally-ranked women's soccer team to a 7-2-1 record, with the only losses coming at the hands of nationally-ranked opponents.
 
She scored one goal while anchoring a defense that held opponents to .70 goals per game.
 
Hunter, a junior quarterback, led the football team to a 3-1 record.  He ranks second in the MAC with 263.5 yards of total offense per game.  He leads the team with 78.0 rushing yards per game and is averaging 185.5 passing yards per game.
 
Rhinehart has three top-five finishes for the regionally-ranked men's cross country team.  He was fifth at the Misericordia Invitational, second at Delaware Valley and third at Dickinson while leading the Cougars to three top-two finishes.
