The Misericordia University cross country teams will compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional championships, Saturday in Newville, PA.
The men's race is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. at Big Spring High School while the women's will follow at noon.

The MU women are coming a runner-up finish at the MAC championships are ranked eighth in the region.

The men were third at MAC's and are ranked seventh in the region.

The women finished fifth in the region a year ago with three runners earning all-region status, including returnees
Grace Gallagher and
Madison Kammer.

First-year
Madison Hedglin won the MAC championship and teamed with Gallagher and Kammer for a 2-3-4 finish to lead the Cougars to the team title on the same course at the Dickinson Invitational earlier this season.

They will be joined by All-MAC finishers
Cassandra Burt,
Grace Morningstar and
Rachel Ulrich along with
Madison Moore at the regional meet.

The men's team finished sixth at the regional meet a year with all-region finishers, including returnee
Trey Rhinehart.
Â
Rhinehart finished third at the MAC meet and will be joined by All-MAC performers,
Ryan Weber,
Ryan Shulman and
Thomas Bricker.Â
Caleb Shea,
Daniel O'Keefe and
Weston Medvetz will round out MU's line-up.

Rhinehart finished second and Bricker and Weber were eighth and 12
th, respectively, as the Cougars finished second at the Dickinson Invitational earlier this season.
