Samantha Bardonner scored the lone goal for the Cougars on a corner from
Brenna Field late in the second half as the teams battled to a 1-1 draw through 110 minutes.
Lauren Mondor made five saves in goal for the Cougars.

Misericordia earned their first opportunity at 23:37 when a long free kick by Field bounced over the goalkeepers head, but was cleared off the line by a Rowan defender.Â

Esabella Mendola had a great chance, but her shot was just wide left at 24:11.

The Cougars had another chance late in the first half, but Bardonner's blast from just outside the box was just high at 43:44.

MU's first chance of the second half came on a header by
Alyssa Steenback that went just wide in the 50

Haleigh Wintersteen's free kick was saved four minutes later.

After Rowan took a 1-0 lead at 63:20, the Cougars had back-to-back shots, including a free kick by Field that was saved at 69:08.

Bardonner's header off the Field service tied the game at 75:36.

The Cougars had two looks in the final minute, but
Caelan Gallagher's shot at 89:32 was blocked and Field's shot was saved as time expired.

Wintersteen had a chance late in the first overtime, but her shot from distance was batted away by the Rowan keeper.

Larissa Evan, Celia Denhalter and Wintersteen all converted their PK attempts, but Rowan converted four shots to advance to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
