Tori Ellex was part of two wins and two school records to lead the Misericordia University women's swim team on the opening of the Cougar Splash, Friday evening at the Dallas Middle School Natatorium.

Ellex (23.5) set school and MAC records and hit an NCAA-B qualifying time to win the 50 free.  She anchored the winning 200 medley relay (1:46.09) to set another school record.  Kaylee DePietro, Lindsey Rice and Brianna Foote were also part of the relay that narrowly missed a MAC record.

Cali White (3^rd) Angelina Dechert (5^th), Maddie Cunningham (7^th) and DePietro (9^th) all finished in the top 10 in the 50 free.

Rice (2:18.52) shaved more than five seconds off her seed time to finish sixth I the 200 IM while Tamsin Formon (5:18.17) dropped 18 seconds to finish fourth in the 500 free.

The Cougars are in third place among six teams after one session and return to the pool, Saturday morning at 9:30.
