The Misericordia University women's swim team closed out the first semester with a tri-meet sweep of Wilkes and Ramapo, Saturday in the Anderson.

The Cougars beat Wilkes, 189-51, and Ramapo, 169-73, to improve to 6-1.

Tori Ellex won two individual events, including a pool record (24.04) in the 50 free.

Tamsin Formon and
Kaylee DePietro also won twice.

The Cougars opened with a win in the 200 medley relay from DePietro,
Lindsey Rice,
Cali White and Ellex (1:52.50).

Formon (2:02.61) followed with a win in the 200 free.

DePietro (28.33) led an MU sweep in the 50 back with
Angelina Dechert and
Tempest Willequer.

Rice (32.39) and
Brianna Foote finished 1-2 in the 50 breaststroke.

Madison Cunningham was second in the 100 fly (1:03.90).

Ellex set a pool record (24.04) to win the 50 free and was followed by White.

White added a win in the 100 free (57.33) and DePietro won the 100 back (1:03.00).

Formon picked up a win in the 100 breaststroke (1:13.76).

Foote won the 50 fly (27.12) and joined Cunningham and Liz Duffy to sweep the top three spots.

Ellex (1:03.74), Formon and Rice swept the top three places in the 100 IM.
