The Misericordia University men's wrestling team cruised to a 38-7 win over Scranton, Friday night in the Anderson Center.

Nikosh Marston and Kruz McCusker both recorded pins and Jaydin Barreto and Michael Williams had technical falls.

Robbie Anderson won by major decision and Chase Stephen had a decision.  Simeon Hunte won on a sudden victory and Aiden Hidlay earned a forfeit.

Barreto recorded three first-period takedowns to jump out to a 9-2 lead after three minutes.

He added two more takedowns in the second period and went on to win 21-6.

Marston used a deep half-nelson to record a fall midway through the second period at 133.

McCusker scored the opening takedown after a flurry and locked up a cross-face cradle to earn the pin at 1:39.

Williams notched four takedowns and earned four near-fall points in the second period to win 17-1 at 5:23 at 149.

Stephen got a takedown midway through the first half and got four back points at the end of the period to take a 7-0 lead on the way to an 8-3 win at 157.

After Scranton won the next bouts, Anderson picked up a major decision at 184.  He escaped early in the second period to take a 1-0 lead.  Starting on top in the third period, he used a cross-body ride and cross-face to pile up 12 back point in the third period on the way to a 14-3 win.

Tied 2-2 after three OT periods, Hunte earned a riding time point to get a 3-2 tiebreaker win at 195.

Hidlay won by forfeit at 285 to close the meet.
