The Misericordia University women's wrestling team wrapped up its inaugural season at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships Region 2 Tournament, Sunday at East Stroudsburg.

Elizabeth Adebola went 2-2 while
Ahlexa Montalvo and
Maya Landefeld both went 1-2.

Kailey Remish (145) and
Sarah Lynn (180) also competed for the Cougars, who finished 11
th of 11 in the team standings with nine points.

Adebola pinned Kayleigh Kehler of Alvernia in her first match at 160 pounds, but lost by fall to Jade Huerta of East Stroudsburg in the quarterfinals. She pinned Karla Lazaro of Muhlenberg in her first consolation bout, but lost on tiebreaker to Kelsey Gelb of Muhlenberg one match short of a medal.

Montalvo won her opening bout at 131 pounds over Lauren Gherman of Ursinus, 12-7. She lost by fall to eventual third-place finisher Lillian Sherer of Lock Haven and was eliminated in an 8-0 loss to Alaina Stanford of Cedar Crest.

At 180, Landefeld lost to eventual runner-up Lindsay Laws of Lock Haven by tech. fall in her opener, but rebounded in the consolation bracket to pin Draydon Charman of Cedar Crest. She was eliminated by Emma Helverson from Delaware Valley.
