The Misericordia University STUNT team swept a pair of games at the Misericordia Invitational, Saturday in the Anderson Center.
The Cougars beat Buena Vista (IA), 19-10, and Randolph College (NC), 18-0.
In the opener against Buena Vista, the Cougars took a 3-0 lead in the opening quarter, which focuses on Partner Stunt.
The Cougars had another strong showing in the second quarter, Pyramids & Tosses and went into halftime with a 6-0 lead.
MU added three more points in the third quarter, Jumps and Tumbling, to extend its lead to 9-0.
The Cougars earned 10 of 12 possible points in the fourth quarter to close a 19-0 win.
Rachel Kowal, Caleigh Brown, Audry Weiss, Anna Mellody, Kaitlyn Shatzel and Emily Kaiser were the top players for MU against Buena Vista.
Kaiser was named Power Player of the Game for her contributions in all four quarters of the game while Zoey Jones was named Stunter of the Game and Kowal was the Tumbler of the Game.
Against Randolph, the Cougars took another early lead with points in the first quarter.
Misericordia earned two points in Pyramid & Tosses to take a 5-0 halftime lead.
The Cougars swept all four points in the third quarter thanks to a strong showing in Jumps and Tumbling.
MU took nine of 12 points in the fourth quarter to seal the win.
Players of the game were Caleigh Brown, Angelena Montefour, Audry Weiss, Anna Mellody and Emily Kaiser.
Anna Melody was Power Player of Game while Kaitlyn Shatzel was named Stunter of the Game and Tumbler of the Game was Montefour.
The Cougars continue the tournament, Sunday against Buena Vista University and St. Elizabeth University.
