The Misericordia University women's track & field team won its home opener as the Cougars captured the MU Twilight Invitational, Friday at the Anderson Outdoor Complex.

The Cougars earned 199 points to best nine other teams.

Cara Doyle (15.91) won the 100m hurdles.

Bri Wagner (4:43) and Grace Gallagher were 1-2 at 1500m while Rachel Ulrich and Madison Fleschut were fourth and sixth, respectively.

Grace Morningstar (1:01.92) finished second at 400m.

Gianna Iglesias (13.12) was second at 100m and Natasha Mihalko was eighth.

Madison Kammer (2:22.57) won at 800m while Wagner was second and Fleschut was fourth.

Emily Krevey (26.62) was second at 200m and Eleanor Shuleski (1:20.16) finished third in the 400m hurdles.

Gallagher (18:59.77), Kayla Beebe and Ulrich were 1-2-3 at 5000m and Madison Morrow finished fifth.

Izabella Bochicchio (39.83) finished seventh in the hammer throw and Brooke Gronau (32.71m) was eighth in the discus.

Morgan Stover (32.84m) and Elizabeth Pittsman finished second and third, respectively, in the javelin.

Mihalko (10.67m) won the triple jump while Megan Aaron was third and Abigail Conti was fourth.

Mihalko (4.89m) placed second in the long jump while Aaron, Conti and Pittsman were fifth-seventh, respectively.

Allyson Brodie (2.65m) won the pole vault.
