5/27/2025 5:01:00 PM

Eight members of the Misericordia University STUNT team have been named to the National Championship All-Tournament team as announced by Karie Chard, Director of STUNT in the Central, Midwest and Eastern United States.

Anna Melody and Audry Weiss were both named to the all-tournament first team while Kaitlyn Shatzel, Caleigh Brown, Angelena Montefour, Rachel Kowal, Emily Kaiser and Zoey Jones all made the second team.

Mellody, a junior team captain, was also named a CSCA's first-team All-American.  She consistently held the team's highest power number throughout the season and her contribution as a base in partner stunts, pyramids and basket tosses were key factors in MU's success.

Weiss, a first-year student-athlete, was a second-team CSCA All-American.  Her previous experience in all-star cheer and her commitment to skill development in the top-girl position were powerful contributions to our team's ability to reach the postseason.

Shatzel served as a team captain while Brown was first-team All-American.

Montefour was named the team's most improved player by her teammates while Kowal will serve as a team captain next year as a senior.

Kaiser and Jones were both named CSCA second-team All-Americans.

STUNT is the fastest-growing women's sport in history and has qualified for NCAA Championship Status.  "We are honored by the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics' recommendation of STUNT as a National Collegiate Championship Sport," said Lauri Harris, executive director for USA Cheer.
