Eight members of the Misericordia University STUNT team have been named to the National Championship All-Tournament team as announced by Karie Chard, Director of STUNT in the Central, Midwest and Eastern United States.

Anna Melody and
Audry Weiss were both named to the all-tournament first team while
Kaitlyn Shatzel,
Caleigh Brown,
Angelena Montefour,
Rachel Kowal,
Emily Kaiser and
Zoey Jones all made the second team.
Mellody, a junior team captain, was also named a CSCA's first-team All-American. She consistently held the team's highest power number throughout the season and her contribution as a base in partner stunts, pyramids and basket tosses were key factors in MU's success.
Weiss, a first-year student-athlete, was a second-team CSCA All-American. Her previous experience in all-star cheer and her commitment to skill development in the top-girl position were powerful contributions to our team's ability to reach the postseason.
Shatzel served as a team captain while Brown was first-team All-American.
Montefour was named the team's most improved player by her teammates while Kowal will serve as a team captain next year as a senior.
Kaiser and Jones were both named CSCA second-team All-Americans.
STUNT is the fastest-growing women's sport in history and has qualified for NCAA Championship Status. Â "We are honored by the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics' recommendation of STUNT as a National Collegiate Championship Sport," said Lauri Harris, executive director for USA Cheer.
