Julia Beck has been named the 2025 Misericordia University NCAA Woman of the Year.
A graduate student in the physical therapy doctoral program, Beck is a midfielder on the Misericordia University women's soccer team.
She led the Cougars to a 19-2-2 record and a perfect 7-0 mark in the MAC Freedom. After winning their fourth straight MAC Freedom championship, MU advanced to the third round of the NCAA Tournament.
"It is my pleasure to announce
Julia Beck as the Misericordia University 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year," said Chuck Edkins, director of athletics. "In addition to her tremendous success on the soccer field, Julia has been a leader in the classroom and in the community throughout her career."
Beck was a second-team United Soccer Coaches All-American and a first-team all-region selection.
She was a four-time first-team All-MAC Freedom selection and was a two-time MAC Freedom Player of the Year.
A two-way presence on the field, Beck was a key piece of the Cougars' defense, which only allowed 12 goals all season. She also finished tied for second on the team with seven goals.
In addition, she was the MAC Women's Soccer Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year and was Misericordia's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Wendy's Athlete of the Year.
A native of Langhorne, PA, she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and was the 2023 College Sports Communicators Women's Soccer Academic All-American of the Year.
She was four-time member of the MAC Academic Honor Roll and was a two-time Academic All-MAC selection.
She serves as a peer advocate on campus and is an officer in the Physical Therapy Club and has participated in multiple spring break service trips.
Established in 1991, the NCAA Woman of the Year award recognizes graduating female college athletes who have exhausted their eligibility and distinguished themselves in academics, athletics, service and leadership throughout their collegiate careers.

Conferences can select up to two nominees each from the pool of school nominees and the Woman of the Year selection committee will choose the Top 30 honorees — 10 from each of the NCAA's three divisions.
Â
The selection committee will determine the top three honorees from each division from the Top 30 and announce the nine finalists in September. From those nine finalists, the NCAA Committee on Women's Athletics then will choose the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year.
