The Misericordia University men's golf team opened its fall season with a tri-match split against Scranton and King's, Thursday afternoon at Glen Oak Country Club.
MU bested King's, 337-355, but fell to the host Royals, 296-337.
The Cougars finished second thanks to strong rounds by
Ryan Vallach and
Brian Hough, who both carded 81's to share the team-low.
Chase Cummings rounded out Misericordia's top-three performers with an 86.
MU travels to the Huntsville Golf Club for a dual match against Wilkes, Saturday at 1:00.
